FireScope New Product Line Monitors Systems Regardless of Underlying Technology and Provides Early Diagnosis

Addison, TX August 25, 2006 FireScope, Inc. launched its new line of FireScope Security Information Management appliances today. FireScope's mission is to provide businesses, small and large, with a complete security information management solution that is effortless to deploy and can essentially accommodate any budget. Knowledgeable veterans from TECSys Development, Inc. and Hudson Advisors established the product line.

FireScope puts forward a single solution that provides real-time monitoring of nearly any server, router or other networked device. It's built from multiple industry proven open-source programs and integrated into an easy to use web-based dashboard. Solution options range from 20 monitored devices to thousands, making FireScope a product that can be tailored for businesses of any size.

The diversity and intensity of security threats to a business network is growing daily, making the ability to detect and react to these threats more crucial than years past. Using a combination of agent and agent-less methods, FireScope monitors for system events, tracks system and application performance, and incorporates hybrid intrusion detection technology to assure system integrity. This multi-layered approach provides FireScope wth the flexibility to identify previously unknown threats and provide early diagnosis of potential system failure.

"What really sets us apart from other security information management solutions is that we provide an easy to deploy solution that produces meaningful results on the same day the appliance is plugged in," said Steven Cotton, FireScope CEO. "Many SIM solutions fail because of the complexity of deployment combined with the fact that they are difficult to effectively use or they are tied to an existing technology or platform. With FireScope, our clients bypass these hurdles and gain an at-a-glance snapshot of their entire environment's health, no matter what underlying technology is used by the devices being monitored."

As FireScope's CEO, Cotton brings over 20 years expertise in enterprise businesses to further the company's growth. He has worked with Lantronix, M2 Automotive and Panda Express as CFO and COO while raising more than a hundred million dollars for each company. He serves on the board of directors for several businesses including charitable organizations, and technology firms. He also has experience working overseas with channel and OEM partners. Cotton is a leading expert in security, compliance issues, and best practices for business service management.
